Why UX and Product Design?
From a very young age, I knew that I wanted a job where I could make a positive impact and help change the world (in any big or small way). I spent my teenage years volunteering with the children's department at my church, so I was constantly told that I’d make a great teacher.
As a result, I pursued a degree in education and even got my M.Ed in Curriculum Studies. Although I’m no longer an educator, I don’t regret this career path one bit. In fact, I whole-hearted believe that my experience in the classroom has made me a stronger designer. I gained the ability to create empathy-driven design and grew a deep passion for accessibility and inclusion.
In the end, my truest and deepest passion for helping others solve problems is what ultimately pivoted me to UX and product design.
